IMANI WHO?
IMANI IS CURRENTLY BASED IN THE DC METROPOLITAN AREA, FOLLOWING FIVE YEARS IN PROVIDENCE, RI. AS A RECENT GRADUATE FROM THE RHODE ISLAND SCHOOL OF DESIGN, WITH A BACHELOR’S IN INDUSTRIAL DESIGN, THEY BRING A UNIQUE APPROACH TO EVERYTHING THAT THEY DO. IN THEIR FREE TIME, IMANI ENJOYS CRAFTING MINIATURES, BOULDERING, AND DRAWING AT OPEN MIC NIGHTS. IMANI'S ART IS A REFLECTION OF THEIR LIVED EXPERIENCE AS A BLACK NONBINARY CREATOR. THEIR COMMITMENT TO ADDRESSING THEMES OF NEURODIVERGENCE, IDENTITY, INTROSPECTION, AND COMMUNITY SHOWS UP CONSISTENTLY IN THEIR ARTISTIC PRACTICE. THE FUSION OF TRADITIONAL AND DIGITAL ART IN IMANI’s WORK REFLECTS A COMMITMENT TO EXPLORING DIVERSE MEDIUMS AND PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES OF THEIR ARTISTIC EXPRESSION.
